Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, administers Physical Therapy services for patients. Provides therapy to individuals with impairments in ambulation, stair climbing, transfers, bed mobility and balance, joint range of motion, strength, coordination, and endurance level. Understand motor development stages and can adhere to plan of care established by supervising therapists. Possess the ability to assist therapist, patient, and family regarding plan of care. Able to educate patient and family about disease process precautions, limitations, or sensations related to the patient's condition either verbally, written or both. Demonstrates the ability to efficiently treat patients and document appropriately and effectively. Ensures provision of quality patient care for patient population served in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant- Texas
• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Experience in a healthcare setting prefferred
