Cook Position at Stonington Institute
Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), has an immediate opening for a full-time Cook in North Stonington. UHS is a Fortune 500 corporation and in 2017 was recognized as one of the World's Most Admired Companies by Fortune. Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location.
Job Summary: The Cook is responsible for safe, sanitary food preparation for patients and staff at Stonington Institute. As the cook interacts with the patients and staff, a pleasant professional manner is essential. Cooks also work closely with one another and the Supervisor to ensure smooth dietary operations. This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position.

Qualifications: High School Diploma, education in food services preferred. CT Food Manager Certification required or received within 120 days of hire. Knowledge of kitchen work. Ability to interact with staff, patients, and co-workers in a positive manner. Knowledge of safety & sanitary regulations, or ability to learn them.
