Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide exceptional care for patients experiencing childbirth. The ideal candidate will be a vital team member in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, committed to supporting families through this important life event.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver compassionate and high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.Monitor patients' vital signs and progress throughout labor.Assist in the delivery of newborns and provide immediate care post-delivery.Implement individual care plans in coordination with healthcare teams.Educate patients and families on childbirth, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.QualificationsMust possess a current Registered Nurse license.Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Flexibility to accommodate a variable schedule that includes weekends.Work ScheduleThis position requires a commitment to a 3x12-hour shift schedule, with day and night shifts available. Weekend shifts are mandatory. The candidate should be open to floating within their scope of practice to meet the needs of the facility.Facility InformationThe healthcare facility operates as an acute care medical center with additional long-term care and outpatient services. It is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and offers a supportive, team-oriented environment.Housing InformationThe facility offers complimentary housing for travelers assigned to this position, typically in one-bedroom apartments. Housing is available for move-in within specified timeframes, and pets are not permitted. Travelers should ensure the housing unit is left clean to avoid additional cleaning fees upon departure.Additional InformationThis position guarantees a minimum of 60 hours per two weeks; however, travel nurses may be called off for one 12-hour shift during that period. Restrictions on requested time off may apply based on the unit's needs.
