Embrace an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students as an Intervention Specialist for the current school year, with immediate openings close to the Middletown, OH area. We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join caring and collaborative classroom environments focused on social communication development.

Two positions are available: one for a full school year at the elementary level (working 8 am-4 pm with an immediate start through May 28th), and one short-term maternity leave assignment beginning in September, lasting approximately six weeks. Both roles offer the chance to work closely with a small group of students—all classified with autism spectrum-related eligibility and most being non-verbal or with limited speech. Classrooms are well-supported, each with two paraprofessionals to help facilitate learning and engagement.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age students with autism or similar communication needs
• Patience, flexibility, and creative instructional approach
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals
• Ability to manage and support behavioral needs effectively

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support communication and social skill growth
• Maintain consistent communication with support staff and families
• Cultivate a supportive, safe, and motivating classroom environment
• Collect data and monitor student progress to inform instruction
