Actual salary: £20,500 - £21,737 per annum (FTE: £24,654 - £26,141) – pay award pending Hours: 36.5 hours per week, term time only, Permanent Start date: ASAP About the role Brookfield Community School offers a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Cook to support the Catering Manager and their team. The role involves preparing and cooking home‑cooked, nutritious food for students and staff. Responsibilities include daily food preparation, cooking, serving meals, managing and monitoring staff, ordering food, managing stock, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure catering standards are achieved and maintained in line with the School Food Safety Standards and Food Standards Agency. Key responsibilities Food preparation and cooking for students and staff. Managing and monitoring kitchen staff. Ordering food and managing stock levels. Ensuring kitchen and equipment cleanliness.
