About the Position

Locums Thoracic Surgery coverage in Georgia, starting with holiday coverage and continuing with ongoing PRN dates. Solo general thoracic call with adult-only patients and a thoracic-only case mix, no cardiac.

Highlights

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient thoracic surgery coverage
• Adults only
• Solo general thoracic surgeon on call
• Primary call is at NHA in Atlanta, fielding calls from all campuses, onsite call back and rounding at NHA and NHG in Gwinnett only

Schedule

• Initial need is holiday coverage, then ongoing PRN dates
• 24 hour call coverage with daytime rounding included
• Onsite call back and rounding at NHA and NHG only

Cases and Procedures

• General thoracic surgery including lobectomy, VATS, wedge resection
• Esophagectomy, hiatal hernia repair, Nissen fundoplication
• Mediastinoscopy, thymectomy, decortication
• Bronchoscopy

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
• Active Georgia medical license in hand, client will not wait for license
• DEA required
