Sanitation Manager Job Description:
PrideStaff is currently working with multiple food manufacturing companies who are searching for a Sanitation Manager.  The Sanitation Manager will lead all areas dealing with sanitation and cleaning, write and schedule employees, monitor work flow and ensure safety policies are followed.  The ideal Sanitation Manager has previous experience in a food manufacturing environment working in Sanitation, holds a HACCP certificate, and has superb communication and organizational skills.  The Sanitation Manager position is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Sacramento, CA.

Sanitation Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Create Employee Schedules & Schedule Daily Assignments
• Train Employees on Proper Sanitation Practices
• Prepare & Maintain Forms Used in Daily Sanitation Activities
• Ensures Employees Sanitizes All Equipment Used in Production
• Work With Quality Control/ Quality Assurance Ensuring Record Keeping Requirements Are Met
• Develop SOP’s Ensuring Sanitary Handling of Food Production Equipment is Met
• Work Closely With Vendors
• Manage Sanitation Spending & Budget
• Monitor Water Usage & Work to Reduce Water Consumption During Sanitation
• Notify COO & Maintenance of Any Equipment That is Not Functioning
• Adhere & Enforce Company’s Safety Policies, Food Safety Policies, Code of Conduct, GMP Policy, PPE Policy & All Other Internal Policies/Procedures
• Attend Management Meetings as Needed
• Lead by Example in Keeping Work Area Clean

Sanitation Manager Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 2+ Years of Sanitation Experience in a Management or Leadership Position Preferred
• Working Towards or Holds a HACCP Certification Required
• Solid Math & Computer Skills
• Must be Able to Identify & Train on Chemical Labels 
• Excellent Multitasking & Organizational Skills
• Superb Written & Verbal Communication Skills
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) Preferred
• Must be Able to Stand, Sit, Squat, Bend, Twist, Walk, & Reach
• Must be Able to Lift up to 50lbs
• Must be Comfortable Working in a Noisy Production Warehouse Setting

• Must be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background Check
• Must be Willing to Submit to a Drug Screen
• Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S.

Pay:  $25 - $35/hr D.O.E.
Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: M - F  (Second Shift, Third Shift)
