The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst will be instrumental in advancing Citi's mission to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative services to clients across more than 160 countries. For a technologist who leads with curiosity, acts with integrity, and builds with purpose, this is where meaningful work gets done.Responsibilities:Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvementsResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications:6+ years of hands-on experience in application development or Systems Analysis, with a proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-grade software solutionsExtensive experience in Software Application Programming and Systems Analysis, with demonstrated ability to own technical deliverables end-to-end across the full software development lifecycleDeep proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot, with demonstrable experience building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance enterprise applications in regulated environmentsHands-on experience with messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and IBM MQ, including designing and implementing reliable, high-throughput, event-driven architecturesProficiency working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, including data modeling, schema design, query optimization, and integration with distributed application systemsExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Devin to accelerate engineering workflows, improve code quality, and solve complex technical problems more efficientlyProven experience designing and implementing solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture blueprints, coding standards, and technology governance frameworksSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one domain of Applications Development, with the ability to provide authoritative technical guidance and influence solution design decisionsStrong knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD, with experience automating build, test, and deployment workflows to support continuous deliveryStrong knowledge leveraging AI tools to make development more efficient.Demonstrated ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate and manage concurrent technical workstreams in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Applications Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Tampa Florida United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$113,840.00 - $170,760.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
