Communicate and enforce contractual agreements regarding meeting space, food and beverage, special concessions, and attrition charges. Ensure all guest checks, payments, master folios, and deposits are submitted to accounting on time. Provide accurate information to departments and facilitate BEO and group resume meetings; relay changes promptly. Collaborate with culinary operations on menu development, design, customization, and implementation. Maintain documentation of events, changes, and special requests with updated banquet event orders, group resumes, and rooming lists in the Delphi system. Organize and conduct site visits, pre-planning visits, and rehearsal meetings. Serve as the on-site contact to clients, greeting them upon arrival and addressing challenges immediately. Maximize revenue by selling hotel services, including food and beverage outlets for upselling. Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction. Maintain regular on‑site attendance; work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required. Requirements Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post‑graduate or degree in relevant field preferred. Two to four years of related banquet, catering, or event‑planning experience preferred. Experience within luxury, lifestyle, or independent hotels preferred. Skills: Prioritize tasks and maintain high organization levels. Excellent computer skills, including typing and use of various applications. Strong communication skills with guests, team members, and management. Proficiency in restaurant POS, reservation, and inventory applications. Ability to accurately input information into the Property Management System (PMS). Excellent organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills. Ability to work well under stressful, high‑pressure situations. Knowledge of Delphi, including merging menus, blocking function space, and creating BEOs. Knowledge of staffing guidelines and requirements for setting up and breaking down function spaces. Knowledge of key accounts and important clients of the hotel. Knowledge of legal and contractual agreements. Understanding of basic hotel procedures, including accounting, reservations, front office, and food and beverage operations, to act as liaison between departments and customers. Physical & Mental Requirements: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 20 pounds; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. Clear near and far vision for detecting cleanliness and discrepancies. Basic hearing ability. Excellent verbal communication for guest interaction. Traverse work areas within the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas. Apply common‑sense understanding to follow instructions. Work independently and as part of a team. Multitask effectively in a high‑demand, fast‑paced environment. Show patience and understanding with all persons and situations. Perform well under pressure to meet needs of guests, team members, and management. Work in high‑guest‑contact environment; may encounter varying conditions and circumstances. Work within an office environment. Occasionally work varied shifts, including weekends and late‑night events.
