Our model emphasizes trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, accountability, and long-term recovery — because healing the whole person is what we do.This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking high-caliber professionals who want to make a meaningful impact while working alongside licensed clinicians, nursing, and medical leadership.Position SummaryThe Behavioral Health Specialist, also referred to as a Mental Health Technician (MHT), plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic milieu while supporting female adolescent residents through daily structure, emotional regulation, and skill development.This role is ideal for individuals with a college background in behavioral sciences who are passionate about adolescent mental health and prepared to manage complex behaviors with professionalism, maturity, and empathy within a residential treatment setting.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a structured, therapeutic residential environment aligned with treatment goalsSupport residents with emotional regulation, coping skills, and daily routinesUtilize trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques during behavioral escalationsModel appropriate boundaries, communication, and behavior for adolescent residentsActively collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and leadership on treatment planningAccurately document observations, behaviors, and incidents to support clinical decisionsEnsure resident safety, dignity, and compliance with all policies and regulationsQualificationsRequired / Strongly Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, Education, or related fieldExperience working with: AdolescentsResidential treatment, behavioral health, RTC, inpatient psych, or similar settingsStrong emotional intelligence, maturity, and ability to remain calm under pressureExcellent communication, documentation, and boundary-setting skillsPreferred:Experience in trauma-informed care, neurobehavioral programs, or female adolescent populationsInterest in pursuing a long-term career in behavioral health or clinical disciplines
