Cardiology Tech Position

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Locals are welcome to apply for all techs except OR techs. The expected start date is based on Novant's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Novant will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.

Required skills/certs/exp: Minimum years of experience: 2 years experience. Required traveler experience: clinic will accept 1st time travelers. Locals accepted/rate difference: yes. Work settings skills required: adult and nuclear cardiology. Skills/procedures required: rest/stress & amyloid (PYP). Myocardial skills required: exercise/rest-multiple, exercise/rest-single & pharmacological stress. Professional knowledge & skills required: start and maintain peripheral IV & storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials. Certs: BLS, ARRT N or CNMT preferred.

Job details: Ratios: 1:4; avg. daily census 10-12. Shift: 40 hours can be offered. Will accept 13 week contracts! 10-hour days; 06:00 - 16:30. Call requirement: none. Float requirement: none. Weekend requirement: none. Patient age group: adults/geriatrics. Special procedures/unit details: We only perform cardiology studies - stress testing and amyloid (PYP) studies. Patient diagnoses: We are an out-patient cardiology office with a broad range of DX! The most common: coronary artery disease pre-op clearance chest pain shortness of breath. Special equipment: hot lab equipment, dose calibrator, well counter. Imaging equipment: (2) Spectrum Dynamics DSPECT cameras. Unit systems: EPIC experience. Scheduling type: per the clinic needs.
