Ohio Pharmacy Services Chief – Pharmacy Operations Manager Position PN: 20038196 (260003HY) Location Ohio Pharmacy Services, 2150 West Broad Street, Columbus, 43223 Compensation $57.68 per hour, E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule, step 1 with potential for annual raise. Schedule Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible). Key Responsibilities Lead all pharmacy and administrative operations for OPS, including Inpatient Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy, and the wholesale distribution warehouse. Direct statewide planning, development, and marketing of OPS services in alignment with Ohio Revised Code 5119.44 and Department strategic priorities. Oversee pharmaceutical distribution and services to DBH regional psychiatric hospitals, ODRC facilities, DYS facilities, community agencies, and additional partners. Develop and manage the State of Ohio’s pharmaceutical contract portfolio. Implement purchasing and distribution strategies that ensure cost‑effective, compliant, and uninterrupted access to medications statewide. Ensure all OPS operations meet federal and state pharmacy practice laws and establish policies, procedures, and quality standards. Supervise managers of Central Pharmacy Inpatient, Central Pharmacy Outpatient, Pharmacy Service Center, and all other OPS operations. Oversee budget, payroll, accounts, financial performance, forecasting, cost analyses, and cash‑flow reports. Lead hiring, performance evaluations, leave approvals, and organizational structure recommendations. Collaborate with state agency partners and healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. Prepare and review medical, administrative, and operational reports. Represent DBH at meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements and respond to inquiries from clinicians, public officials, and the public. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Deputy Director. Qualifications Current, valid Ohio license to practice pharmacy issued by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Minimum 12 months of training or supervision experience and 3 courses in pharmacy management or administration. Minimum 12 months experience as a licensed pharmacist. Alternative evidence of major worker characteristics may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure. Continuing pharmacy education as required by Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code. Technical & Professional Skills Technical: Regulatory Compliance, Interviewing, Medical Terminology.
