PACU RN

Position Overview Rotating – 08 Hour shift, based in Stanford Health Care Tri‑Valley, United States of America. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act, hospital policies, and standards of care. The RN performs all steps of the nursing process—assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while coordinating care with other providers and serving as a teacher to patients and families. Responsibilities Assess patients by collecting and documenting data through interviews, history taking, personal needs, and physical assessment findings. Determine nursing diagnoses and implement care plans consistent with standards of care. Monitor and evaluate data, check patient status for adverse responses and side effects, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. Provide emotional support, comfort, and education to patients and families. Teach self‑care and illness prevention information to patients and families. Maintain ethical and legal compliance, completing incident reports as required. Perform age‑related care for patients of all ages, applying growth and development principles. Attend meetings and serve on departmental and/or hospital committees as assigned. Support department strategic and organizational goals while adhering to C‑I‑CARE standards. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Experience 1–2 years of prior acute or critical care Registered Nurse experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication and written skills with the ability to read, write, and understand English. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Adaptability to changing environments and mobile technology. Ability to work independently and as a valued team member. Ability to positively influence others and effectively prioritize patient care. Knowledge of current health care principles, practices, and trends to provide clinical leadership. Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse – State Licensure or Compact State Licensure. Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Benefits and Compensation Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $77.69 – $95.52 per hour. Salary will be determined by internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
