Sales AssistantDeer Park - Deer Park, TX 77536OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category SalesDescriptionJob title - Sales AssistantReports to - Inside Sales ManagerClassification - Non-ExemptSummary/ObjectiveThe Sales Assistant provides sole support to the sales team by performing a number of administrative tasks.Essential FunctionsPrepares quotes, contracts and REP/RFI responses for potential customers.Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.Maintains all sales demonstration tools and applications.Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional and effective manner.Develops technical presentations for potential customers.Maintains up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends and government regulations.Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.CompetenciesBilingual in the English and Spanish languages preferredCommitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications.Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.Developed knowledge of the industry within a given market.Electrical product knowledge strongly preferred.Presentation skills.Technical capacityCustomer/client focusHigh degree of professionalismDecision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skillsOrganizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsMMS experience is strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.Supervisory ResponsibilityThe Sales Assistant position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.Working conditionsWork EnvironmentThis job typically operates in a professional office environment, however much of the job is done travelling. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelThis position requires no travel.Education and Experience6 months of Sales Assistant, Administrative Assistant or Sales Support work experienceBilingual in the English and Spanish languages preferredHigh school diploma required
