Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by bringing your expertise as a Reading Specialist to an engaging, supportive educational environment. We are seeking two dedicated professionals for a full-time, onsite contract opportunity with a K-8 caseload. Your knowledge will play a vital role in developing students’ literacy skills and shaping their academic growth.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification/licensure and Reading Specialist certification
• Demonstrated mastery of reading instruction, curriculum, and relevant resource materials
• Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
• Experience working in urban, school-based environments
• Ability to create and deliver lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, utilizing formative assessment and differentiation
• Proven success with elementary and K–8 learners
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site
• Flexibility to start as soon as possible and complete the assignment through June 10, 2027
• Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances required

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Engage small and large groups in evidence-based reading strategies
• Develop, implement, and track individualized learning plans for diverse students
• Collaborate with other educators to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
• Utilize data and ongoing assessments to adjust instruction as needed
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative academic community

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Candidates should be comfortable and enthusiastic about working onsite in this vibrant district.
