Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care (Per Diem)

We're currently seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute care team at Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT. Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) independently evaluates patient's level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) determines treatment strategies and delivers Speech Language Therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient's safety and independence. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application of speech therapy to maximize the patient's functional independence.

Qualifications Education Requirements M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. Current State of CT Department of Health Services license as a Speech Therapist. Certificate of Clinical Competence. Modified Barium Swallow study experience or FEES experience preferred but not required Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year.
