The Utility Worker I & II in Water Distribution reports to the Water Distribution Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include:Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on the water distribution systemOperate a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools used in department projects.Perform technical duties locating underground water assets in public streets, alleys, utility easements, and right-of-way using GIS maps.Responsible for completing vehicle inspection forms and daily work logs.Operate heavy equipment, including excavation equipment, backhoe, and vac truckSubject to emergency call-out and must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on stand-by as required.Other duties as assigned.The salary range shown is the minimum for Worker I and the maximum for Worker II. The salary range listed in the posting is the minimum for a Utility Worker I and the maximum for a Utility Worker II. The pay range for each position is listed after each position's requirements above. This is a driving position, and a motor vehicle report will be run as part of our pre-employment process.
