Project Manager

I am partnered with a nationally respected civil general contractor that specializes in complex infrastructure projects across the United States. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment plant construction to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This individual will play a key role in the successful delivery of major municipal and industrial water infrastructure projects throughout North Carolina and the surrounding region. The contractor will cover 100% of relocation costs for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced water/wastewater professional who is open to relocating to Charlotte. Key Responsibilities Manage water and wastewater treatment plant projects from preconstruction through final completion Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement and cost controls Coordinate with Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and owners Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders and contract documents Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and within budget Manage self-performed and subcontracted scopes, including heavy civil, concrete, mechanical, process piping and underground utilities Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and project stakeholders Identify potential risks, resolve project challenges and implement effective solutions Support procurement, subcontractor selection and project buyout Prepare progress reports, cost forecasts and monthly financial updates Assist with project closeout, commissioning and final turnover Required Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of construction experience, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities Previous experience working directly for a self-performing general contractor is required Proven experience managing heavy civil, concrete, mechanical, process piping and underground utility scopes associated with treatment plant construction Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure projects and public-sector contracting Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors and client relationships Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents Strong communication, leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Travel Requirements Ability and willingness to travel throughout North Carolina and the surrounding region as projects require #J-18808-Ljbffr Lumicity
