Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst with 12+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, or Business Analysis. The analyst will support the Enterprise Data Governance Program and work with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Business Teams, Data Engineers, Architecture, and Information Security to establish trusted, governed enterprise data across AWS and Snowflake .
Required Skills
- 12+ years of experience in Data Governance / Data Management / Data Quality / Business Analysis.
- Enterprise Data Governance implementation and Data Stewardship .
- Data Analysis and strong SQL skills.
- Data Lineage and Data Cataloging experience.
- Data Policy / Procedure creation .
- Metadata Management , Business Glossaries, Data Dictionaries, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) .
- Data Quality rules, profiling, reconciliation, and validation.
- Requirements Elicitation and stakeholder workshop facilitation.
- Data Warehouse experience.
- Strong experience with Relational Databases, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake , or similar.
- Business and technical data lineage / data flow documentation .
- Ability to translate business requirements into governance artifacts.
Preferred Skills
- AWS: S3, Glue, Glue Data Catalog, Lake Formation.
- Snowflake, Python, SQL, Power BI, SharePoint .
- Data Classification, Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Master Data Management.
- Experience with ODS, ADS, Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers .
- Healthcare, Medicaid, Behavioral Health, or Virginia State Government experience.
- AI-ready data governance experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support enterprise Data Governance processes.
- Maintain metadata, data catalogs, business glossaries, CDEs, policies, and procedures .
- Define and monitor Data Quality standards and rules.
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and analysis .
- Document data lineage, data flows, and mappings .
- Support governance of data across AWS and Snowflake platforms.
- Facilitate governance workshops and communicate requirements to business and technical teams.
- Create governance dashboards, metrics, reports, and executive presentations.
