We are committed to fostering a work environment focused on teamwork that celebrates diversity, promotes equity and ensures equal access to information, development and opportunity for all of our Healthcare Pros.Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to perform the primary functions of a nurse in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care.Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience caring for higher-acuity inpatient patients in a fast-paced hospital environment, with the ability to assess, prioritize, and respond to changing patient conditions.Demonstrated competency managing cardiac, hypertensive, and insulin infusions, along with strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.Experience supporting patients requiring advanced respiratory therapies, including BiPAP and high-flow oxygen.Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, telemedicine providers, and virtual communication platforms.Confidence caring for critically ill patients and willingness to support short-term stabilization efforts, including ventilated patients awaiting transfer to a higher level of care.Essential Job FunctionsPlan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific and developmentally/specialty appropriate nursing care by applying advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge and skills and for ensuring the comfort and safety of patients/familiesFollow physician's orders in the delivery of nursing careMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all timesAdhere to required infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient careCollect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulationsPerform admission, discharge and transfer proceduresAssemble equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty service area; perform or assist others with procedures or treatmentsHandle care in accordance with legal, hospital/facility, departmental policies and procedures, and established standards of nursing care and practice, as defined by the Board of Nursing for that State.Other Job FunctionsPerform all Quality Assessment activities assigned and documentAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedBasic QualificationsAssociate's Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN, preferredCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years combination experience in related healthcare positions, requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required; PALS strongly preferred (ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification)Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communicationPennsylvania RN's: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.
