In this acute-care role, you'll care for patients with diverse diagnoses, including respiratory illnesses, infections, dehydration, and alcohol withdrawal, as well as orthopedic, general, spinal, and urologic surgical needs. Nurses manage a 1:5-6 patient ratio and must be comfortable caring for up to six patients. The unit uses EPIC for documentation and supports bedside shift report, proactive rounding, and teamwork.

• Provide safe, compassionate medical-surgical nursing care and collaborate with the care team.
• Manage titratable drips, including heparin, and set-rate infusions such as Bumex and Lasix.
• Hold current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification.
• Bring at least 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience, including experience with the shift you are submitted for.
• Demonstrate EPIC documentation experience and the ability to manage a 1:6 patient assignment.
• Be prepared to float to the IMCU for Medical-Surgical assignments as needed.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts; weekend and holiday coverage may be needed. Blocked scheduling may be accommodated at times.
• Be available for low-census cancellation or standby needs.
• Wear navy blue scrubs and contribute to a supportive, team-focused environment.
