Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

• Complete initial patient assessment and reassessments as indicated by patient condition.
• Demonstrate critical thinking by implementing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) and using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Have the physical ability to safely and effectively care for patient population assigned.
• Manage medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician's orders.
• Document nursing care and patient status in accordance with the nursing process.
• Have communication abilities sufficient to promote patient and family centered care by interacting with patients, families, and care-delivery team in verbal and written form.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two (2) years of last five (5) years work experience as an RN must be in Level III NICU with experience in infant resuscitation and stabilization, maintenance of invasive lines, and ventilators or successful completion of clinical and didactic applicable SRDH specialty training course(s) or program.
• Registered Nurse: NV.
• Basic Life Support - CPR.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
• Stable Program, within 6 - months.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Post partum/newborn experience in a family centered unit.
