Candidates should be comfortable working all aspects of special events, including but not limited to: serving guests, set up/breakdown, truck loading/unloading, running food, buffet/plated dinner service, clearing tables, and venue clean-up.Our event servers enjoy very good hourly wages, flexible schedules and award-winning Peachtree cuisine. Most event servers work 1-2 shifts/week though some work 4-6 shifts/week during our busy wedding and holiday seasons. A motivated candidate will find this is a rewarding job with excellent opportunities for advancement.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet areaRelay food orders with any important information about allergies and special requests to the appropriate personMaintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practicesAnticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectationsMaintain composure in a fast-paced environmentCollaborating with the kitchen for prompt and correct delivery of ordersMemorizing the menu and specialty drinks for each eventAssisting with the studying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping all areas neat and pleasant throughout the eventSetting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate floor plan requirementsRespond urgently and appropriately to any concernsPresent in professional appearance and mannerismsIdeal applicants will have at least 1 year of FOH experience working in either fine dining establishments or at special events, preferably in both an on-premise and off-premise capacityMust be able to follow verbal and written directions promptlyCandidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a polished, professional appearance and demeanorAbility to effectively problem-solveReliable transportation is a big plus but not an absolute necessity if you can navigate SEPTA and/or ridesharePossess some, or all of the following qualities/qualifications: RAMP certification, wine expertise, bartending training, general food and beverage knowledgeOpen weekend availability is essentialMust be punctual.
