The unit is a nursing home with a capacity of 70 beds, mostly private. Responsibilities include charting, assessments, charge duties, and administering medications. Clinical skills required include IVs, catheters, and ostomy care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:20 for RNs and LPNs, with CNAs having a ratio of 1:8. Common patient diagnoses include dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs. Nursing staff are required to perform various skills related to the care of elderly patients. Experienced professionals in this specialty are encouraged to apply. The nursing team collaborates with an interdisciplinary team that includes therapy, social workers, and dietary staff. The position requires flexibility with work schedules, including every other weekend and holiday. No on-call or standby requirements are in place. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. Professional attire in solid colors is expected.
