Part-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and provide inspirational training to all employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff. Work in all departments and all theatre job functions. Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to General Manager. Ensure that theatre Team Members follow the dress code. Interact with guests to improve service in the theatre and ensure Team Members provide superior customer service. Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines; enforce these with all Team Members fairly and consistently. Report all employee relations issues to the General Manager (or to the company’s reporting portal if the GM is absent). Follow the employee relations reporting protocol. Maintain a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct. Consistently identify and sanitize high‑contact touchpoints. Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Properly address any safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting problems, suspicious persons, etc.). Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum age of 18 years. High school diploma or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required local or state health card or food handlers permit. For employees working with alcohol, complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance required. Demonstrate an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication with all ages, genders, and personalities; must be able to effectively converse in and comprehend English. Ability to work in a team environment and independently. Follow direction and respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time‑management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Resolve conflict when it arises. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre. Noise level may be moderate to high at times. Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
