The Dental Assistant supports the dental team by providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the clinic operates efficiently. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Patient Care:

Prepare patients for dental treatments by welcoming, seating, and ensuring their comfort.

Explain treatment plans and post-procedure care instructions to patients.

Clinical Assistance:

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including preparing and handing instruments.

Take and develop X-rays as directed by the dentist.

Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.

Administrative Tasks:

Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.

Manage inventory of dental supplies and order replacements as needed.

Process patient payments and insurance claims.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure dental equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.

Troubleshoot minor equipment issues or coordinate repairs.

Work Environment:

Clinical setting, requiring long periods of standing and using hands for precision work.

Exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, and equipment noise.

full-time $19 - $26 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:45 to 5:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:45 to 6:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Manual dexterity for handling tools and instruments.

Completion of a dental assistant training program or certification (preferred).

Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Current CPR certification (preferred).

Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
