Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care

We are hiring a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week Long Term Care assignment. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with LTC experience who are passionate about providing quality patient care in a supportive healthcare environment.

Job Details

Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Newark, New York
Shift: Mid Shift – 5x8 Hours (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Support ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance
Provide bathing, grooming, oral care, skin care, and hygiene support
Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition changes
Assist with feeding, fluid restrictions, and specimen collection
Maintain infection control and PPE compliance
Operate patient care equipment including Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, specialty beds, and transfer devices
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality patient care

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Certified Nursing Assistant experience
Active CNA certification required
Long Term Care experience preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Skills

Experience with patient transfers and safe patient handling
Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions
Experience obtaining and documenting vital signs
Familiarity with long-term care workflows and patient support
