- 4th through 5th grade
- Self-Contained Classroom
- Supported by 2-3 Paraprofessionals
- Provide individualized instruction in a self-contained special education classroom.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, general education staff, and families to support student success.
- Differentiate instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Active Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) Endorsement
- Experience in a self-contained special education setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills.
