Design Engineer

Description: 

ENG- Support Air Dominance production programs as a Mechanical Review Board Design Engineer by identifying and resolving production issues, defects, and failures. Participate in Material Review Board activities, evaluate non-conforming hardware for performance impacts, identify root causes, coordinate corrective actions, and work with cross-functional teams to implement viable solutions.

#Education & Job Requirements

*4 - 6 years of experience with the ability to Read Engineering Drawings
*4 - 6 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
*2 - 4 years of experience with Failure Analysis
*4+ years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and tolerance analysis
*2+ years of experience with Creo design software
*4+ years of experience with root cause and corrective action
*4+ years of experience reading engineering drawings, documents, parts lists, and specifications
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
*Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering-related field
*Lead investigative efforts and report status to interdisciplinary teams

#Preferred Skills

*2 - 4 years of experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

*Participate as a key member of the Material Review Board process
*Review non-conforming hardware for performance impacts
*Identify appropriate root causes
*Coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence
*Coordinate efforts within the Mechanical, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
*Support weekly meetings to review status with leadership
*Develop and implement viable solutions to production issues, defects, and failures
*Lead investigative efforts
*Report status to interdisciplinary teams
