Citadel Security USA is seeking a Full‑Time Unarmed Retail Security Officer to support daily security operations at a grocery store in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This daytime position focuses on creating a welcoming and secure shopping environment by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, and working closely with store leadership to address security‑related concerns. Position Details Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 Employment Type: Full‑Time Position Type: Unarmed Retail Security Officer Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Thursday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Primary Responsibilities Retail Security & Patrol Perform routine foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and exterior walkways. Maintain a visible security presence to help discourage theft, vandalism, and disruptive behavior. Observe customer and employee activity while remaining attentive to potential security concerns. Inspect assigned areas for safety hazards or conditions requiring attention. Customer & Employee Safety Help promote a safe environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors. Respond professionally to security concerns, disturbances, or policy violations. Provide courteous assistance when customers or employees request help. Notify store management and supervisors of situations requiring follow‑up. Store Support Work cooperatively with store leadership regarding security matters and operational concerns. Monitor high‑traffic areas and assist with maintaining orderly conditions. Support site‑specific security procedures and company policies. Report maintenance or safety issues that could affect store operations. Documentation & Communication Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports before the end of each shift. Record observations involving safety concerns, suspicious activity, or policy violations. Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding operational updates. Ensure documentation is clear, complete, and submitted in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Strong observation skills and attention to detail. Professional communication and customer service abilities. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to remain calm while handling unexpected situations. Ability to work independently while following established procedures. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in retail security, customer service, hospitality, or asset protection. Experience conducting patrols and preparing incident documentation. Familiarity with retail environments and customer interaction. Strong conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills. Work Environment Active grocery store environment with frequent public interaction. Combination of indoor and outdoor patrol responsibilities.
