We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Lead to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable Java-based backend applications and services.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka/Messaging, databases, and cloud technologies , along with proven technical leadership and stakeholder-management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based backend applications and services.

  • Drive technical architecture, code reviews, coding standards, and development best practices.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Mentor developers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.

  • Lead sprint planning, effort estimation, risk mitigation, and delivery tracking.

  • Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and support production issues.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive engineering best practices.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to overall delivery planning.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Java backend development .

  • Prior experience in technical/team leadership .

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Java

    • Spring Boot

    • Microservices

    • REST APIs

    • Kafka / Messaging

    • SQL / NoSQL Databases

    • AWS / Azure / GCP

    • CI/CD

    • Git

    • DevOps practices

    • Agile/Scrum

  • Strong experience with system design, architecture, and scalable backend solutions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Proven ability to mentor developers and lead technical teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and production-support experience.

Candidate Requirements

  • Visa Independent candidates only.

  • Must be available for remote work .

  • Strong hands-on Java backend development experience is required.

  • Candidates should have prior Lead / Technical Lead experience.

  • Contract and Full-Time options are available.
