At Ted Turner Reserves, we connect people with nature through one-of-a-kind outdoor experiences in luxury settings. We are continuously seeking dedicated and detail-oriented hospitality professionals to join our Housekeeping team at Vermejo.

This is an evergreen opportunity designed to build our pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future Room Attendant openings throughout the year. While positions may not be immediately available, qualified applicants will be considered as staffing needs arise.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Room Attendant, your primary duties will be centered around maintaining the beauty and charm of our guest lodging and surrounding facilities.


You will also be responsible for:

• Maintaining an impeccable standard of cleanliness and presentation of guest housing, lodges, and public areas.
• Responding to guests' needs.
• Ensuring and coordinating the laundering of guest linens.
• Coordinating the timely return of all lost and found items to the front desk.
• Coordinating with the front desk regarding guest room status.
• Maintaining knowledge of arrivals / departures and stay-overs for each day.
• Staying up-to-date on the most efficient eco-friendly cleaning supplies.
• Maintaining knowledge of handling hazardous materials.
• Reporting maintenance issues.
• Informing Management of any guest-related issues.
• Maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests.
• Coordinating annual deep cleaning of guest facilities and off-season cleaning of seasonal employee housing.
• All other duties as assigned.

• A management or supervisory position

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

1. You'll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.

Preferred:

1. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2. Previous housekeeping in a luxury hotel/resort setting.
3. Familiarity with eco-conscious or sustainable practices.

ACCOMMODATIONS

This position will require you to live at Vermejo headquarters, located approximately 40 miles from the closest town (Raton, NM). Vermejo's location is approximately 4.5 hours' drive south of Denver or 4.5 hours' drive north of Albuquerque.

Vermejo offers single- and double-bedroom dorm room style company housing (subject to availability). You may be subject to sharing a room with one other employee depending on the availability of a single dorm room.

You will need to provide or arrange for your own transportation to and from Raton for personal supplies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

On a regular basis, you can expect to:

• Stand; sit; walk; move hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Perform physical labor for extended periods of time.
• Be on your feet for extended periods of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

You will regularly be required to work long hours, and you may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. You may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. You will be occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
