Description: The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. There are techs available to assist on the unit. Equipment used includes GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Drager ventilators. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Staffing requires every other weekend availability. There is a floating policy in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers. Patient experience requirements include the use of AIDET, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching. The unit performs procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion. Consider joining due to advances in technology, experienced staff, and flexible scheduling options.
