You understand that great household management is about more than completing tasks—it's about creating an environment where a family can feel supported, present, and at ease.The primary focus of this role is to serve as the trusted partner who keeps our household running smoothly - bringing order, consistency, and thoughtful support to the many moving pieces of daily family life. You will take ownership of a variety of household responsibilities, including planning and preparing two family dinners each week, creating and maintaining organizational systems throughout the home, and proactively managing the countless details that allow a busy household to function with ease. Your work will reduce the family's mental load, creating more space for us to be present with one another and enjoy our time together.Key ResponsibilitiesMeal SupportPrepare healthy, grab-and-go breakfasts, pack school lunches, and execute fully-cooked dinners 2-3 days per week, and grab-and-go dinners 2 days per weekPack school lunches 5x weeklyDevelop, manage, and execute weekly grocery planning and shoppingHandle kitchen clean-up and ongoing kitchen maintenanceHousehold Organization & MaintenanceCreate and maintain household organization systemsPerform daily resets and light tidying, including dishes, surfaces, and high-traffic areasPrepare home ahead of bi-weekly cleanersConduct seasonal swaps for clothing, bedding, and decorCoordinate donation drop-offsCare for indoor plantsSupport prep for events, holidays, and guestsSupport packing and unpacking for family travelInventory & ErrandsRestock pantry, refrigerator, and household suppliesManage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)Handle returns, dry cleaning drop-offs, gift shopping, and general errandsHandle mail and packages including breaking down and disposing of boxesLaundry & LinensWash, fold, and organize family laundryRotate linensDrop off dry cleaningMaintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry areaFamily SupportProvide back up support for school pickups, drop offs, and childcarePerform daily backpack reset including unpacking, lunch box washing, and packing and preparing for the following morningHandle kid-related errandsPet CareWalk dog on a daily basis (15-30 minutes)Schedule vet and grooming appointmentsAdminister pet medicationsMaintain pet supplies alongside household inventoryVehicle UpkeepClean out and organize the family vehicle as neededAdministrative & Personal Assistant SupportPartner with the family to manage and maintain the household calendar, coordinating school schedules, appointments, activities, and family commitments to keep everyone organized and informedTrack expenses, maintain receipts for expenses incurred as House ManagerCoordinate and manage household appointments and scheduling as neededDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsRefresh garage, mudroom, and entryway on an ongoing basisOngoing organizational projects, particularly for toys and gearVendor & Property OversightOversee cleaners, contractors, and landscapers as neededSeasonal property maintenanceManage outdoor spacesHow to ApplyPlease submit a short intro letter telling us about yourself and why this role is a great fit, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information.
