Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 02:00 PM - 02:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH Certification, GRH CPI/MOAB Must-Have: EPIC EMR Experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months Description: The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Care Setting. Is able to triage every patient that enters the emergency care system safely, rapidly, and accurately. RNs coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips prior to the start of their assignment. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment. Passing this test is required to work in the Emergency Department. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low patient volume. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every third weekend rotation is required. Every other holiday rotation is required.
