Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Patient Sitter for RWJ Hamilton. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. BLS required through American Heart Association Preferred: Prior experience in patient care preferred Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively Effective verbal and written communication skills Scheduling Requirements 36 hours a week - Day shift with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating holidays required Essential Functions The Patient Sitter is support staff assigned to monitor and ensure the safety of patients, particularly those at risk of injury or requiring constant supervision, Their primary role is to prevent accidents, assist with non-medical needs, and provide companionship to the patient Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
