Number of Beds: 27 on each floor
Patient Ratios: 5:1
Unit staffing description: Unit secretaries during the dayshift and techs on all shifts
Type of equipment: Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allen vital sign machines
Documentation system: Medhost but transitioning to Meditech April 19th
Scheduling requirements: 3 days a week with every other weekend
Floating policy: Will need to float between MS 2 and MS3
Patient Experience requirements: Certifications: BLS
Hiring profile: Requested skill set: Must have: Basic Med/Surg experiences, Experience with post-op patients especially ortho
Advanced skills needed: NA
Procedures performed on unit: Blood transfusions, IV and central line maintenance
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS preferred but not required
Dress Code: (Required uniform) Dark blue
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Brand new computer on wheels and vital sign machines, transitioning to Meditech from Medhost as our documentation system
