Role Overview As a Diesel Mechanic at Waste Pro, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty and light-duty trucks, including diesel, gasoline, and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and productive. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and more. Complete repairs identified on DVIRs and repair orders. Communicate effectively with managers and drivers about vehicle issues and preventative maintenance. Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA‑compliant work area. Use vehicle electronics and service manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Provide guidance and assistance to junior technicians and shop helpers. Qualifications Strong knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service manuals. Ability to complete repairs within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs). CDL Class B preferred (must obtain within 12 months).
