• Identifies and prospects potential fleet customers within the dealership's mobile service area, including local businesses, commercial fleets, contractors, delivery and trade companies, municipalities, school districts, non-profits, and other organizations operating multiple vehicles
• Makes daily outbound calls, e-mails, and in-person visits to introduce Ewing Automotive Group's mobile automotive maintenance services and secure appointments with fleet managers, owners, and purchasing decision makers
• Actively travels within the Mobile Department's designated service radius to conduct on-site customer visits, walk fleet yards, present service programs, and build face-to-face relationships; a significant portion of the work week is spent in the field
• Schedules and conducts customer meetings and presentations, and develops customized service solutions and preventive maintenance programs based on each fleet customer's vehicle mix, mileage, and operating schedule
• Obtains new fleet accounts and grows monthly Fleet Service revenue and repair order (RO) volume through new business development
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with new and existing fleet customers and serves as the primary point of contact for all assigned fleet accounts
• Communicates regularly with customers to identify upcoming maintenance needs, recall and inspection due dates, and additional service opportunities; conducts regular account reviews with larger fleet customers
• Coordinates the scheduling of mobile maintenance services with fleet customers and Mobile Service personnel, confirming location, vehicle access, timing, and scope of work prior to dispatch
• Ensures customer expectations regarding services performed, timing, and pricing are clearly communicated and documented; prepares quotes and obtains purchase orders or written authorization as required by the customer
• Works closely with Service Advisors, Mobile Technicians, Parts, and the Mobile Director to ensure customer needs are met, parts are available, and work is completed properly and on time
• Follows up on completed services to confirm customer satisfaction, identify additional maintenance opportunities, and resolve any concerns promptly
• Develops and executes strategies to increase Fleet Service revenue and RO volume, including adding additional vehicles or services within existing accounts and promoting preventive maintenance programs that reduce customer vehicle downtime
• Maintains regular, proactive contact with fleet customers rather than relying on inbound business; tracks customer purchasing patterns and follows up with inactive or declining accounts to regain lost business
• Assists with fleet account setup, billing arrangements, and coordination with fleet management companies (e.g., Enterprise Fleet Management, Element, Holman, Wheels) for approvals and invoicing as applicable
• Maintains an active sales pipeline and accurate records of fleet prospects, accounts, contacts, activities, and sales opportunities in the dealership's CRM or tracking system
• Tracks and reports monthly Fleet Service revenue, RO volume, new accounts acquired, and customer retention to the Mobile Director and management
• Represents Ewing Automotive Group professionally at local business networking events, trade associations, and community functions to generate fleet leads
• Maintains dealership standards for Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) ratings and completes all assigned manufacturer, dealership, and vendor training courses within required timeframes

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Current, valid driver's license, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and reliable transportation; ability to travel daily within the Mobile Department's service radius, including frequent on-site visits to customer locations
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
• Two or more years of outside sales, business-to-business (B2B) sales, or account management experience with a proven record of prospecting and closing new business; automotive dealership, fleet, or commercial vehicle service experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance schedules, common fleet services (oil and fluid services, tires, brakes, batteries, inspections, recalls), and how downtime impacts a commercial fleet; familiarity with fleet management companies and fleet billing/purchase order processes a plus
• Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and mobile communication tools; experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a customer service-oriented, professional demeanor
• Self-motivated and goal-driven with excellent time management and organizational skills; able to work independently in the field while managing multiple accounts and priorities
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team with Mobile Technicians, Service Advisors, Parts, and management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the Fleet Service Representative coordinates daily with Mobile Technicians and Mobile Service personnel to schedule and deliver customer work.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a field-based sales position. The Fleet Service Representative spends a significant portion of the work week traveling by vehicle within the Mobile Department's designated service radius to visit customer businesses, fleet yards, job sites, and municipal facilities, in all weather conditions. When not in the field, this role operates in a professional dealership office and service department environment with exposure to noise, vehicle fumes, and moving vehicles. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, laptops, mobile phones, and printers, as well as CRM software and dealership management systems. Occasional travel between Ewing Automotive Group dealership locations may be required. Some evening or early-morning customer meetings and networking events may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds independently (e.g., marketing materials, sample products, laptop and equipment); majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights
• Requires frequent driving within the service radius, including extended periods of sitting; must have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a satisfactory driving record
• Requires walking, standing, and moving around customer fleet yards, job sites, and service areas that may be outdoors, uneven, cold, hot, noisy, or wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
• Requires frequent talking and hearing to communicate with customers in person and by phone, and typing and viewing screens to maintain records and correspondence
