Basic Function: The California Lutheran University Graduate School of Psychology(GSoP) invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professortenure-track position in our APA-accredited PsyD Program inClinical Psychology beginning in Fall 2027. The PsyD Program is asecular program that values science and social justice and directlyaffirms sexual and gender minority inclusivity. Representative Duties: Provide academic instruction to students through lecture; assessand develop student communication skills and higher order thinkingskills through appropriate assignments and activities. E Advise and instruct students regarding programs of study,lifelong learning resources, and effective study skills; referstudents to support services, programs, resources, and otherprofessionals as appropriate. E Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting courseobjectives and student learning outcomes through assignments,projects, discussions, and examinations; provide feedback in atimely manner to student inquiries in class, online, or duringestablished office hours. E Plan and organize instruction according to approved courseoutlines and student learning outcomes to maximize student learningin alignment with program and university mission/goals; implementthe student performance objectives as listed on the official courseoutline of record. E Maintain current, accurate records of course enrollment,attendance, student academic progress, and student learningoutcomes. E Evaluate and select instructional materials such as textbooks,manuals, software, and tools in collaboration, as appropriate, withother faculty; order instructional materials according to campusbookstore procedure to ensure timely delivery.Within that context,the expectation is to create creative assignments and activities inone-on-one and classroom instructional settings to foster hands-on,active learning in students that will develop their expertise inthe subject matter. E Maintain an active research program that involves graduateresearch assistants and collaborators. E Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting courseobjectives and student learning outcomes through assignments,projects, discussions, and examinations; provide feedback promptlyto student inquiries in class, online, or during establishedconsultation office hours. E Maintain current, accurate records of course enrollment,attendance, student academic progress, course curriculum; prepareand submit grades, data, and reports related to the course andstudent progress promptly. E Provide a course syllabus to students in each class within thefirst week of the class, as outlined in the faculty handbook.E Adhere to the responsibilities related to teaching, advising,service, and scholarly, professional, and creative activities, asoutlined in the faculty handbook. E Attend and participate on committees and in the department,division, campus, and University meetings. E Evening and weekend hours may be required. E Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: A PhD or PsyD degree in Health Service Psychology (Clinical,Counseling, or Combined) from a regionally accredited institutionat the time of appointment (ABD applications are accepted). Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants from APA-accredited doctoralprograms in clinical or counseling psychology. Licenses and Other Requirements: Licensed or license-eligible to practice as a psychologist inCalifornia within three years of employment. Physical Abilities: Detect to understand appropriate written correspondence;communicate clearly to exchange information in person and via thetelephone or video; operate a computer and other officeproductivity machinery; stationary position for extended periods oftime; move or transport light objects; position self to storeand/or retrieve files.
