Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Charge Nurse to oversee surgical services during weekend shifts. This role involves managing OR operations, ensuring compliance, and providing leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead OR staff during weekend shifts to ensure seamless surgical procedures and patient safety.
• Monitor compliance with hospital regulations and maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care and operative procedures.
• Facilitate unit orientation and training for new staff or travelers.
• Ensure all staff holds required certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Oversee documentation and transcripts related to modules and clinical activities.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid OK or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 1 year of OR charge experience, preferably with charge responsibilities.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and lead a team during high-pressure situations.
• Willing to work weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) on 3x12-hour shifts.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required in hand at the time of submission.
• Ability to float within scope to similar units as needed.
