Pharmacist Contract Position

An established 300-bed hospital in Quincy, IL, is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist to manage overnight inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital setting, starting immediately for approximately 13 weeks with the possibility to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and verify medication orders during the overnight shift, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and assist with medication dispensing
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support effective patient care
• Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems to document and coordinate pharmacy activities

Schedule:

• Overnight shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
• Hours approximately 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system preferred
