Construction Superintendent

Superintendent Responsibilities Superintendents will report to the Director of Operations and are generally assigned responsibility for one project at a time. The Superintendent works with the Project Manager and is responsible for all on‑site operations from groundbreaking to final occupancy, including safety, schedule, and quality control. Detailed duties include: Project Introduction: may participate in client introductory meetings with the project team. Project Schedule: participate in developing the project schedule using Microsoft Project; coordinate with subcontractors for critical durations; attach the schedule to owner contracts and subcontracts. Project Start‑up: familiarize with owner contract requirements; attend project start‑up meetings with internal team and subcontractors to coordinate timing and coordination of events. Project Administration: Safety: complete OSHA training and maintain a minimum of a 30‑hour certificate; conduct periodic inspections; keep records of inspections, toolbox talks; hold safety meetings. Schedule: manage day‑to‑day operations; coordinate work with subcontractors; plan work to minimize conflicts; maintain overall schedule visibility; ensure milestone dates, substantial completion, certificate of occupancy; ensure required inspections are completed. Quality Control: keep all project documents organized; review work daily; conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings; maintain daily reports of work completed; document, verify, and signoff changes; update drawings. Project Closeout: create punch lists and ensure all items are completed in a timely manner. Education, Experience and Knowledge Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Superintendent for a commercial contractor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
