I’m partnering with a nationally recognized public accounting firm that is looking to add an experienced Commercial Tax Director to its growing Chicago tax practice!

This is a strong opportunity for someone who has built their career in public accounting and is ready to take on a highly visible leadership role with significant client ownership, team mentorship, and business development exposure.

What you’ll be doing:

Reviewing complex business tax returns, workpapers & tax projections
Providing tax planning, consulting & compliance services to clients
Managing key client relationships and overseeing the full tax return process
Researching and resolving complex tax issues
Working closely with Partners on client planning and strategy
Coaching, mentoring & developing tax staff
Supporting business development and expansion of the client base

What we’re looking for:

10+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
Strong technical background across partnerships, S-Corps & C-Corps
Experience managing multiple client engagements and relationships
Strong review, tax planning & consulting experience
Proven ability to mentor and develop teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
Someone looking for a high-impact leadership role where they can continue growing their client base and career
