TRAINING SPECIALIST.

Responsibilities Provide curriculum change services. Interface with subject matter experts to oversee curriculum changes for all courses assigned. Review all changed materials to ensure consistency of content and adherence to appropriate formal curriculum management documents, prepare change notification documents, and forward materials to other training sites. Interface with schoolhouse staff, contractors, and higher level commands to plan for and conduct course revisions. Oversee development of curriculum support documents such as Training Project Plans, Training Course Control Documents, and Testing Plans. Conduct Formal Course Reviews, provide internal feedback and training on items for completion, and provide In‑Service Training sessions. Provide curriculum audit management support. Qualifications For GS‑09: Knowledge and skill in utilizing conventional and established training methods, techniques, and tools to design, develop, and evaluate training courses, lead special projects, and implement program and procedural changes. Experience with Department of War, Navy, and Navy Education & Training curriculum, training support and evaluation programs, and multiple training evaluation tools, databases, and programs. Ability to utilize authoring instructional materials, content planning modules, learning object modules, authoring tools software, and the Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARs) to update course materials. For GS‑07: Knowledge of conventional and established training methods, techniques, and tools to design, develop, and evaluate training courses. Understanding of Department of War, Navy, and Navy Education & Training curriculum, training support, and evaluation programs. Skill in utilizing authoring instructional materials, content planning modules, and learning object modules, and familiarity with the Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARs). Education For GS‑09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; LL.B. or J.D., if related; or a combination of graduate level education and experience equivalent to one year of specialized experience. For GS‑07: One full year of graduate level education; superior academic achievement; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to one year of specialized experience.
