CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Summary Operates the Point of Sale system, assists the chef, prepares coffee, cleans cashier and coffee stations, and provides food service as a Cashier/Food Service Worker at Wesley School. Location & Schedule Wiley School, 915 East Wesley Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442. Hirings are immediate for full‑time and part‑time positions. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Compensation Pay Range: $13.73–$15.00 per hour. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts. Perform cashier duties using the POS system. Maintain cash accuracy, produce receipts, and make end‑of‑shift deposits. Perform general cleaning duties, including removing trash and garbage. Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving. Inventory and restock supplies and food products. Set up serving lines and ensure temperatures are recorded and within acceptable ranges; notify cooks if temperatures are not acceptable. Serve hot and cold items to customers. Set up items for purchase on a daily basis. Maintain refrigerator stock and product rotation using first‑in, first‑out. Stock pantries according to par levels; record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred: Prior cashier and food service experience. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including handling cash, operating a POS system, maintaining food safety standards, and working variable schedules, with potential unpaid temporary layoffs during school breaks. Note: Florida Level 2 background screening may be required.
