Capex Construction Category Specialist The Capex Construction Category Specialist will be responsible for managing strategic sourcing activities within the capital expenditure construction category. This role includes supplier identification, selection, negotiation, contract management, and procurement strategy execution. The position ensures cost optimization, risk mitigation, and compliance with quality, regulatory, and HSE standards while supporting large-scale construction and capital projects. Experience in large-scale CAPEX construction projects and strategic sourcing. Strong understanding of technical construction-related categories including building services, process equipment, construction, and contractors. Experience developing and implementing category strategies. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management. Experience managing procurement KPIs, budgets, and savings forecasts. Knowledge of HSE, regulatory, and quality compliance requirements in project execution. Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel and MS Project. SAP Ariba knowledge preferred. 3 to 5 years of experience in CAPEX construction procurement or strategic sourcing. Experience working in complex, matrix organizational environments. Proven experience managing end-to-end sourcing and supplier lifecycle activities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify suppliers, industry trends, and best practices in CAPEX construction. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability criteria. Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management. Track procurement activities, budgets, savings forecasts, and KPIs. Implement sourcing strategies aligned with business and category objectives. Ensure suppliers meet current and future business requirements. Mitigate procurement and contractual risks in accordance with company policies and procedures. Adapt corporate contractual frameworks to local business requirements. Provide ongoing supplier oversight and contract management. Maintain standard terms and conditions in purchase contracts as per organizational guidelines. Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory, and quality requirements throughout project phases. Strong project management and execution skills. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive projects to completion.
