Position Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our team at the Center for Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Boise, ID. This role is essential for maintaining a sterile operating room environment and assisting surgeons with orthopedic and sports medicine procedures. The Certified Surgical Technician will ensure the proper preparation of surgical tools, instruments, and supplies while supporting the surgical team in delivering high-quality care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring that instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly sterilized and set up.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during orthopedic surgeries by anticipating their needs, providing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and enforce aseptic techniques throughout the surgical procedures.
• Account for sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries to ensure complete accountability.
• Operate and maintain specialized orthopedic surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist with room turnover and prepare for subsequent surgeries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate surgical logs and patient documentation in compliance with medical facility standards.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout each procedure.

Qualifications:

• Education: HS/GED

Licenses/Certifications:

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery - Certified (CST-NCCT) by National Center Competency Testing (NCCT)
