Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients throughout a designated shift, prescribing nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care and input from patients and significant others.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate delivery of patient care across all age groups in an emergency and trauma setting.
• Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care environment.
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care.
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at time of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire; EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications preferred.
