This rewarding, short-term assignment is perfect for a Registered Nurse passionate about pediatric care and school wellness. Your expertise as a School RN will be relied upon at elementary and high school sites throughout July and early August. You’ll provide direct nursing services, manage health plans, administer medications, and respond to emergencies, contributing to a safe and positive learning environment. Key Qualifications Current and unrestricted RN license Recent experience as a school nurse or in pediatric healthcare Familiarity with school health protocols and medication administration Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to adapt between elementary and high school settings Responsibilities Provide daily care for students’ acute and chronic health needs Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders Address emergencies and illness with sound clinical judgment Communicate clearly with staff, parents, and students regarding student health Maintain accurate health records and incident reports Support students’ participation in classroom and school activities safely Assignment Details Contracted hours: July 6-9, 8am-2pm (high school) July 14-18, 8am-2pm (elementary and high school) July 22-24, 8am-2pm (high school) July 28-32, 8am-2pm (elementary school) August 4-6, 8am-12pm (elementary school) This assignment offers valuable school nursing experience and the chance to make a difference in students’ summer learning programs.
